From August 2024 to July 2025, I worked as a content creator for Michigan State University's student-run newspaper, The State News. In this role, I created daily posts based on our reporting using Canva, produced short-form video covering sports, news, and arts and culture using Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut, and designed graphics such as game-day previews, final score graphics, and holiday posts using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Through this role, I learned a lot about design, multimedia storytelling, social media strategy, and working on tight deadlines.

In August 2025, I was promoted to Social Media Editor/Coordinator, where I now lead daily social strategy and oversee how our content is presented across platforms. I focused on creating a more cohesive and recognizable style across our social channels, and played a key role in updating the format of our Instagram posts to make them more visual, consistent, and engaging.

Through this work, I also helped grow our Instagram presence to over 22,000 followers.
